Boys lacrosse prepares in fall
“I expect a great season,” sophomore Nathan Wilinski said. “A lot of players are going to have to step up and fill some big shoes.” After three seniors left for college last year, a group of freshmen have committed to playing, and last year’s JV players are looking forward to filling open spots on Varsity.
Although the season won’t start until the spring, head coach Don Rigger gave his players the opportunity to sign up for tournaments and leagues, such as Double Stix and Turkey Shootout, in Georgia and the Southeast.
Starting in January, lacrosse players who are not already involved in a sport are required to attend at least 20% of pre-season conditioning sessions. If a player does not meet this requirement, they will have to pass a fitness test to make the team.
